The Vultures Council: Big plans for the coming months

In this section, I would like to share some of the the projects that our student council wants to work on, and for that we need to hear the student’s voices so we know what we should make true first.

We would be delighted to hear any new ideas, feedback is more than welcomed!

Here are the priorities on our list right now:

Bathroom Fix and Tweaks:

Mentioned during the debate, we want to make the bathroom stall doors have more privacy as well as other tweaks to the school bathrooms.

School-wide Raffles

We think that a monthly or bi-monthly raffle with great prizes might benefit both the council and students so that we can carry out more projects and students are able to acquire prizes.

Ping Pong tables repair and acquisition of table tennis equipment

Last school year, table tennis had been a widely-played sport amongst students. Sadly, this year the Ping Pong tables have acquired a suboptimal condition. We think that it would be a great project if we focused on either repairing the existing tables or getting new ones, as well as new equipment.

Vending machine added outside of the football field

This is the idea the council has worked on the most, success has been limited but persistence is key in achieving this. We estimate the date of implementation to be around February-March 2025.

Use the turf-covered area next to football field stands

Right next to the football field stands, there is a semi-flat area with great potential for space usage. We believe that it would be beneficial to students, teachers and staff if shade and benches were added to that area and made into a space to be able to sit, eat, etc. The council would be delighted to hear any feedback students have on this idea.

Students are invited to approach any member of the Council to give feedback on current projects as well as giving us new ideas.
