The Best Music to Wrap Up Your Year

Music is constantly evolving, and right now it’s moving fast. From viral tracks to unexpected collabs, the latest releases are shaking up the world. So what’s making headlines? Let's break it down.
As we’re near the end of the year, everyone’s music’s “wrappeds" are getting closer, and we are all excited to see who we are gonna get!
This year we got a lot of diversity in music, from musicals, reggaeton, pop and many more genres. There is a lot of music news going on right now.
For starters, I’m sure everyone has heard of The Weeknd. This year, he became the first artist to have 23 songs with over a billion streams on Spotify according to Billboard.
A bit of news you may not know, though, is that he has decided to transition his name to Abel Testfaye (his actual birth name), which has us all on the edge of our seats. This artist has been teasing new things to his fans for a good couple of months now.
As 2024 proceeded, he began dropping clues, like unexpectedly dropping new songs, offering shows and so on. Abel has finally released a launch date for his album HURRY UP TOMORROW., which will be releasing January 24, 2025 and will be followed by a listening party the next day in Los Angeles (the only show date so far.)
For another update, The New Musical Wicked just came out with more than a few amazing performances by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. Cynthia’s ending riff in the song “Defying Gravity” is becoming very viral as people around the world are starting to watch the movie.
As well, Ariana’s singing talents left us AMAZED. Grande’s switch from pop music to basically opera is an amazing change that left every Wicked fan surprised. (She is also rumored to win at least One Oscar for this amazing performance).
Overall, Wicked did not disappoint the theatre kids and has left everyone wanting more!
For new music releases, we have Taylor’s Swift who is expected to drop Reputation (Taylor’s Version). We also know about SZA, Selena Gomez’s and BLACKPINK’s upcoming music releases.
I am very excited to see what our music wrappeds will look like this year so every one look out!
